LASER ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING & PROCESS
Starting from an analysis of the state of the art in the field of laser metal 3D printers, the project aims to assess the impact of this disruptive innovation not only on the metallurgical industry, but also on the whole society.
For the practical part of the project a jet engine loading braket has been redesigned for metal 3D printing. The main goal was to reduce the weight of the component as much as possible, without compromising its mechanical performances in loading conditions.
The project has been carried out by a team of 7 students, each of them with different educational background.
